A highly self-confident person, Kirisame Marisa is a human magician who likes to stick her nose into other people’s business out of curiosity. As a minion of Mima, Marisa was ordered to prevent Reimu from reaching her boss, but failed miserably. She has been working hard since then to try and catch up to Reimu with her secret training and magic development.

Touhou Project: Hakurei Reimu

Also known as the "Shrine Maiden of Paradise", Reimu is the shrine maiden of Hakurei Shrine, a remote building set on the overlap between Gensokyo and the human world. She is naturally talented, but because she hates training and is somewhat lazy, her skills are only on average level. However, she has a strong sense of duty towards Gensokyo, and can therefore overcome any obstacle through sheer perseverance.

Younger sister of Mistress Remilia Scarlet, Flandre is the “dirty little secret” of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. She has incredible destructive powers but she has little to no self-control due to her unstable personality. Thus, Remilia has ordered her never to step out of the mansion and she has had no substantive contact with any humans other than Izayoi Sakuya for nearly 500 years.

So cute! And so scary at the same time. I love how she’s got the personality down with her awesome cosplay. Thanks again to Ophelia for the photo!

Owner and head of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, Remilia is well known as the “Scarlet Devil” all throughout Gensokyo. She is the mistress of Izayoi Sakuya and Hong Meiling and the older sister and guardian of Flandre Scarlet. Like all vampires, she is photosensitive and therefore prefers to only to emerge at night.

She is the Shrine Maiden of Hakurei Shrine which probably explains why is is sympathetic towards many people. Reimu also tends to be overly optimistic, and her shrine has become a popular hangout for some of Gensokyo’s more interesting females.

Often called "⑨" (pronounced "nineball"), Cirno is a childlike ice fairy which ZUN labeled in the manual of Phantasmagoria of Flower View "⑨" as a symbol of "Baka" (Stupid). Arguably, she is not very bright due to her inexperience and age. She is considered to be the strongest of her kind, but is not a difficult opponent to defeat.
