Durarara!! is a Japanese light novel series written by Ryohgo Narita, with illustrations by Suzuhito Yasuda. As of February 2011, nine volumes have been published by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation by Akiyo Satorigi started serialization in the shōnen manga magazine Monthly GFantasy on April 18, 2009. An anime adaptation began airing in Japan in January 2010. The series is about a dullahan working as an underworld courier in Ikebukuro, Japan, an internet-based anonymous gang called Dollars, and the chaos that unfolds around the most dangerous people in Ikebukuro. A game based on the series for the PlayStation Portable was released on September 22, 2010

Durarara!!: Orihara Mairu and Orihara Kururi

Twin sisters of Orihara Izaya, Mairu and Kururi are complete opposites of one another. Mairu, the younger twin, is an outgoing, trouble-maker like her brother, while Kururi is shy and soft spoken. Kururi is often bullied because of her sister’s reputation, but both sisters have their ways in responding to threats effectively. The twins are fans of Izaya’s friend, Heiwajima Kasuka.

Durarara!!: Heiwajima Shizuo and Orihara Izaya

Izaya and Shizuo have hated each other with a passion almost as soon as they first met one another. It was said in the novels that Izaya constantly framed Shizuo for crimes he didn’t commit. In the anime series, Izaya adds daily attacks from gangs aside from framing him. Although they are on bad terms, Shizuo is well-acquainted with Izaya’s twin sisters, Mairu and Kururi.

Deviant artists ~kozikiryu is Shizuo and =Lindzar is Izaya in this lovely photo. I could not un-see this when I first saw it in Lindzar’s gallery. Izaya really needs to stop pissing Shizuo off. Thanks to Lindzar for allowing me to feature her!

Durarara!!: Celty Sturluson

A Dullahan from Ireland, Celty Sturluson is a supernatural being who came to Japan in search for her stolen head. She has no heart and is able to perceive and function via unknown censors that are not located on the head. Celty is able to manipulate a shadow-like substance to form objects ranging from gloves to chariots at will.

Despite her strength and power, Celty does fear one thing: that if her stolen head is destroyed, she may also cease to exist.

I was quite stunned to see this in Mezurashi and knew that I would have to feature this ASAP. I wonder Valefor Ho is the photographer? In any case, thanks for sharing this!

Durarara!!: Orihara Izaya

A master of parkour and very skilled with a flickblade, Izaya is a young man who enjoys torturing everyone and then observing their reactions because he "loves" the human race. He also enjoys giving Heiwajima Shizuo a hard time; such as having local gangs attack him framing him for crimes he didn't commit. Izaya's name is based on the biblical Isaiah and means "the one who looks over the crowd" in Japanese.

Cosplayer 香吏 (Kaori Ri) makes a convincingly great Izaya! I love how classy Izara is portrayed here. Character requested by Amelia!
