Although very little is revealed about Haruhi’s childhood, she mentioned a revelatory incident when she attended a baseball game with her family. While she regarded her life as special as a child, the sheer number of people in the stadium brings her to the realization that they fit into the normal, everyday occurrences and habits of Japanese citizens and humans in general. Haruhi believes that at least one person in the world would have a truly unique and interesting life, and she searched for the extraordinary in order to become that person.
Stunning cosplay by Mizuno Shiro! I really like this outfit for Haruhi, although I have no idea whether this actually appeared in the series or not. I know there’s a figure though…

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi: Nagato Yuki 05

SOS Brigade's "indispensible silent character”, Nagato Yuki was included into the Brigade when Haruhi arrived in the room and declared it as her own. Similar to Koizumi Itsuki, Yuki is obedient when orders are given, but it is noted that her loyalties lie more with Kyon rather than Haruhi. She is also very protective of Kyon, as evident when she used her body to shield him from Asakura Ryoko’s attack.

Beautiful and daring cosplay! Though I don’t remember Yuki actually wearing a bunny outfit in the anime. I thought it was only Haruhi and Mikuru. Thanks to Padme for sending this in!

As according to the original light novels, Yuki has extremely pale skin, in which Kyon describes to be “white”. Once when Kyon, Haruhi, and Yuki went to the public library, Kyon notices that Yuki has the uncanny ability to walk soundlessly and is puzzled by it. Despite these strange qualities, Yuki has a lot of secret admirers and Taniguchi, one of Kyon’s friends, rates her with an “A-“.

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi: Suzumiya Haruhi 04

The eccentric and unpredictable heroine of the series, Suzumiya Haruhi does not care for any of the "normal" human beings in the world and only has interests in the paranormal; particularly aliens, espers, and time travelers.

What she doesn't know is that the people she is closely associated with are not normal at all. Nagato Yuki, for example, is an alien, while Asahina Mikuru, is a time traveler. They are all closely watching over her as she has the ability to create parallel universes known as Closed Spaces and create transparent creatures known as Titans that can destroy everything it comes in contact with.

Although her hair is a little long, she makes a very convincing Haruhi. Although she could also be Mikuru wearing Haruhi's headband? Thanks to Deb Aoki for sharing this awesome picture!
