Black Rock Shooter: Black Rock Shooter and Dead Master 02

Black Rock Shooter is the main character for the “Other World” while Dead Master is the antagonist. Although not much is revealed about these two characters in the OVA, Dead Master is said to be Takanashi Yomi’s dark persona. When Yomi mysteriously disappeared, Kuroi Mato receives a text message and finds the phone charm she gave Yomi, leading her to the Other World. Mato then meets Black Rock Shooter and merged with her in order to save Yomi from Dead Master.

Angel Beats!: Nakamura Yuri 03

Highly skilled with guns and hand-to-hand combat, Yurippe has been seen carrying a silver Beretta 92, TDI Vector, CheyTac Intervention, and M4 carbine with a drum magazine. She is an effective leader with a determined personality, making good decisions with SSS’ operations. She later regrets fighting with student council president, Tachibana Kanade, because she felt she could have been great friends with her.

K-On!: Hirasawa Yui 03

The clumsy, lead vocalist of the light music club, Yui is easily distracted by trivialities especially when it comes to cute and adorable things. She does not get good grades in school, but is able to achieve astounding results when coached properly. She also has a huge liking for any kind of food and never gains weight, much to the envy of Mugi, Mio, and Sawako.
Mangaka Shinjo Mayu is the cosplayer behind this adorable Yui! And according to Pinch, the contributor, Mayu-tan is actually 37-years-young in this photo! I bet a lot of girls are jealous now.

Fate/Stay Night: Tosaka Rin

A model student and idol of Kamiya Shiro’s school, Tosaka Rin seemingly prefers to be alone than be in the company of other students. This is because she is secretly a magus, the successor to her family’s magecraft, and she was instructed by her father, Tokiomi, to prioritize sorcery over her own interests. Since then, she strived to earn the admiration of her peers to avoid drawing attention to her private life.
Saya makes quite a convincing Rin! I love the simple beauty of this cosplay.

Starry Sky: Kagurazaka Shiki (Ophiuchus)

The 13th mysterious character in the otome game, not much is revealed about Kagurazaka Shiki, aside from the fact that he is based on the 13th constellation known as Ophiuchus. His Greek name translates to “serpent-bearer” and he is often seen holding an albino snake in many official illustrations.
Chen Mei Yi is the cosplayer behind this beautiful Shiki. An anime series will be released this month based on the game apparently… I wonder how it will turn out?

The Prince of Tennis: Kikumaru Eiji

One of Seigaku's "Golden Pair" along with Shuichiro Oishi, Eiji uses the style called “Acrobatic Play” which takes advantage of his flexible body. He has the sharpest vision on the team with exceptional talent in seeing moving objects. Although he lacked stamina in the beginning of the series, he was able to overcome his weakness through training and hard work.
RxR Shrine makes an impeccable Eiji! And those cakes look really good, wouldn’t you agree?

Vampire Knight: Kiryuu Zero 07

Zero is very hostile towards the Night Class because of his deep hatred towards all vampires, especially to purebloods who have changed his life forever. He can be very tsundere, meaning cold and distant in the beginning but eventually warming up to people. Despite his anger, his sense of duty overrides his issues, ensuring his reliability and trustworthiness.
Cosplayer Amore of DreamS TraderS makes quite an interesting Zero, especially this photo with plushie Kaname! Looks like she owns a lot of plushies actually; can anyone name them all?

Hakuoki ~Shinsengumi Kitan~: Okita Souji

Despite suffering from tuberculosis, Okita Souji is a brilliant swordsman and Captain of the First Division. He was later given a bottle of Ochimizu in order to “cure” his illness. Although he became a Rasetsu, the Shinsengumi discovered that he had one weakness, Souji could only heal at human speed when he was injured by silver weapons.
Beautifully portrayed Souji by Deviant Artist Lirlys! I really love the setting for this cosplay, and her boots are simply gorgeous.

Vocaloid 2: Kagamine Rin and Len 03

As the song, Himitsu ~Kuro no Chikai~, goes:
There was a fallen, featherless angel

Who would have known that the vow she had made
Would make everything she had loved blur and fade away?
Cosplayer Noah is the angelic Kagamine Rin and Major Edward Elric is Kagamine Len! I really love how Rin’s wings came out.

Tsubasa - Reservoir Chronicle: Ashura-o

The King of Shura Country, Ashura-o is in constant war with the Yasha clan over the possession of a mysterious castle said to fulfill its master’s every wish. It was later revealed that Ashura-o was in love with Yasha-o and Ashura-o wished to resurrect him from the dead. He died in the castle as it crumbled around him unable to fulfill his wish. However, what the castle could not do, Yuuko was able to grant; she made Ashura-o and Yasha-o gods to their clans, allowing them to be together.
Beautiful cosplay by ~Syszeii! It’s pretty embarrassing that I made a mistake with which Ashura-o this was. It’s a good thing St. Arcana, Syaza, Meg, and Rae made the effort to correct me and gave me more information about this Ashura.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni: Siesta 45

Named after the .45 Winchester rifle, Siesta 45’s duty as one of the Siesta Sisters Imperial Guard Corps includes battle control, trajectory calculating, information gathering and data mining. She then sends the info to Siesta 410 who is the main sniper of the group.

Bleach: Kyoraku Shunsui 02

Captain of the 8th Division, Kyoraku Shunsui is a peace-loving man who will always try to find a non-violent solution. He does not, however, insult his opponent by refusing an invitation to fight. He and Ukitake Jushiro are two of the oldest captains in Gotei 13 and were both trained under General Yamamoto.
Stunning cosplay by Inoli! I love the Katen Kyokotsu props, but what I found most impressive is that the cosplayer is actually a girl.

Gyakuten Kenji: Kazura Himiko

Cool and collected to a point, Kazura Himiko (Calisto Yew) finds people who act seriously hilarious, especially Mitsurugi Reiji (Miles Edgeworth). 10 years ago, her younger sister, Yuuko (Cece) worked for the Amano Group and was exposed to various illegal activities. She was murdered before she could testify and Kazura thus used her position as a defense attorney to get information about the company behind it all.
I had to admit, I laughed a lot when I first saw this photo. ~Flowery certainly makes a convincing Yew, and I especially love her earrings.

Kingdom Hearts: Riku 02

Cool and collected, Riku and his best friends Sora and Kairi live on the Destiny Islands and spend their days constructing a raft and gathering supplies so that they might one day set out and search for other worlds. He is rivals with Sora, competing at almost anything they can think of. Despite the fact that their rivalry is of good intentions, Riku is known to irritate Sora by being a sore loser and being very pushy involving their fight over Kairi.
This photo gives me the sense of being “reborn” into the world, which is exactly what it feels like when celebrating and welcoming the new year. Excellent work as usual by Kashino Rei!

K-On!: Nakano Azusa 03

Azusa looks up to Mio from the light music club due to her maturity and experience as a bassist. Once, she even tried to give Mio chocolate for Valentine’s Day. However, she sometimes unintentionally points out Mio’s weaknesses, such as her weight. She also thinks Mugi is very beautiful, envious of her hair and large eyes.
To be honest, Azusa has nothing to be envious of. She herself is very talented and cute, right?

RustBlaster: Aldred Van Envurio

Born without a Lineage Weapon, Aldred van Envurio is the adopted son of Headmaster Kain van Envurio of the Mercenary Specialized School. Although physically strong, he could not compare against Lineage Weapons, which initially bothered him. He was deemed by most as a failure at the beginning of the manga, with the exception of his teammates.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII: Aerith Gainsborough

When Aerith Gainsborough was 15-years-old, she helped her adopted mother earn a living by growing and selling flowers. She first met Zack Fair during his stay in Midgar and the two began to develop a romantic relationship. Unfortunately, Zack was killed after being held in a Mako chamber for four years in the Shinra Mansion basement.

Death Note: Mihael Keehl aka Mello

An orphan who grew up with Near and Matt in Wammy's House, Mello was one of the candidates to become L’s successor. When it was decided that he should work together with Near in order to succeed L, however, he refused and decided to pursue the Kira Case on his own. Although Mello is quite intelligent, he has a tendency of letting his emotions get the better of him.

Kuroshitsuji: Drocell Cainz 03

The Mandalay Family's Puppeteer, Drocell Cainz initially appeared to be a cruel man with sadistic tendencies. Grell Sutcliff later reveals that the real Drocell has his soul seized by the shinigami five years prior to his appearance in the series, thereby indicating that he was already dead. His body was somehow reanimated with a temporary soul, manipulated by the fallen angel, Angela.
Stunning cosplay by Senri Kurenai! It’s simple yet captivating, with a look that so much like the original character himself.

Sailor Moon S: Sailor Neptune 04

Kaio Michiru is the Senshi most associated with the arts, having known skills in playing the violin, swimming, as well as painting. In Sailor Moon S, Michiru appears as temptation for Mamoru, parallel to Haruka appearing as temptation for Usagi. She has never made any advances on Mamoru, but Usagi is still jealous whenever she sees them together.
Blueocean87 makes a beautiful Sailor Neptune in Leipziger Buchmesse / Leipzig Book Fair 2009! It makes me wonder if she’s wearing colored contacts, or of those are her real eyes’ colors.
